Welcome, Bone Smith!

Your Heroes have come to the Bone Forge seeking fame and fortune, but they'll need your help to survive.

Use the arrow keys to slide all tiles on the screen. Tiles of the same type and level will forge together and level-up, but tiles may be combined and repurposed into new things as well! For example, Bones + Ooze forge into a healing potion! Be careful however, as monsters can repurpose into stronger versions as well.

Your goal is to keep the heroes alive, while collecting as many points as possible. Higher level and repurposed tiles will generally be worth more points, so don't be too hasty to gobble up the loot right away. It may even be worthwhile to forge Monsters into stronger forms to get more points from defeating them!

Would you consider adding a Mac download? Cheers!

Absolutely! I am in the process of reworking this into a full game and will relaunch with a new page (I like to keep my jam entries as-is), and I will have mac and linux downloads when I do so. I'll link it here, or you can follow me to get notified when it launches if you'd like!

Is the Necromancer intentionally a "hard mode"?

If not, I think the ghost needs to interact like a monster, whether only combining with other ghosts or creating ghost hybrids.

Thanks, that's a great idea! I may continue on this one after the jam, and one of the plans I had that didn't make it into this is for heroes to be able to combine with each other as well. Naturally, this would make sense for the ghosts to combine into special ghosts too!

What a great concept, the dungeon theme is great and I agree with nickcp, sound track is great while you're planning your next move. And the push your luck aspect of combining monsters is very appealing to me, I'm going to play this some more when I get a chance

Really charming game. Once the Bejeweled kind of logic clicked and I understood what the classes did, the gameplay loop was very enjoyable. The retro pixel artworks well and the song is an absolute banger.
