v1.3.1 - Defender Sprites and Minion Management


I'm back onto the Friday schedule for updates, this one is a bit smaller than the last but still has some great new stuff! The biggest update is a new batch of sprites by our artist, Immunity, this time updating the defenders! That's the last of the original in-game sprites, and it's so exciting to see the game find a look of its own!

Another big update is that I've added a minion management screen. Before you start the level, you can switch between it and the store using the tabs at the top of the screen. This also means you can now go back to the store after you've closed it (as long as you haven't started moving your snake). I've removed the minion reordering on the side of the screen since it was always a bit tricky, and the experience inside the manage screen should be much better. I know it takes a little getting used to, but after a few plays I stopped trying to drag them on the side, haha.

You can also remove minions now. I'll be changing this soon to give a benefit when you do so, but for now it's at least a way to remove clutter from your deck.

Potentially a controversial change, the store will now only refresh its options at the start of a new level. This might sound like a bad thing at first, but if you've ever been 1 coin short of being able to afford that really good minion, you'll see that it's not so bad. Now you can just play the next wave to get some coins, and they'll still be there waiting for you. If you need more options, you can always reroll, as the reroll cost also updates each level when the cards refresh.
