Hello and welcome to the latest game from Final Screw!

A few years back, we participated in a 7DRL roguelike game jam, and came up with a game called Run the Rings. It was a fun little roguelike deckbuilder, aiming to be a cross between Slay the Spire and FTL, with ANSI-art style graphics inspired by Tradewars 2002. We didn't win the jam, but we really enjoyed the concept and always wanted to take it farther. A couple months into prototyping some ideas, we ended up joining another jam and got a bit sidetracked with another project. We always wanted to pick it back up off the backburner, so here we are again!

We ended up dropping the Slay the Spire play style, as I feel like it's gotten a bit stale these days, but picked up inspiration from a newer game called Backpack Battles, and other auto-battler games like Super Auto Pets. I don't see many space games in this space yet, so I thought it would be fun to try this out.
