Day 5



I spent most of day 5 on bugfixing and implementing the base game code. Cards now show briefly over top of your ship image when played, although I still don't have any indicators of damage or discard, which I'll have to implement soon. A lot of time was burned fixing a bug where I was accidentally sharing card object instances between the player and enemy decks. This caused a lot of problems and was hard to track down!


Major accomplishments:

  • Discard functionality
  • Attack damage
  • Card action indications

To-do:

  • Additional indications of damage and other actions behind the scenes
  • Combat completion and return to the map screen
  • Adding more cards and balance
