Day 6


A very productive day! We hooked up sound and animations, and spent a good amount of time on the UX of the card battles. It's always a good sign at this point when the game starts to feel fun to play! There's something pleasing about the interactions with the cards and the responsiveness of the UI that feels like a little bit of the special sauce we go for. With basic combat in a playable state, it's now time to really focus on the card drafting. Tomorrow is going to be another long one.

Accomplishments:

  • Complete combat, with full game loop returning to the map after each fight
  • Myriad UX and UI improvements
  • Music & sound effects
  • Combat animations

To-do:

  • Drafting after combat
  • Space station trading and deck stripping
  • Add more cards
  • Cards, cards, cards!
